As the benefits of Pilates become more generally and better known, so it has become more popular over the last 20 years. Inevitably that has meant more instructors and more choice. So whether you are an old hand or a first timer; a martial arts expert or struggling with minimal mobility, you need to know that you can find one who can meet your needs.
I am passionate about the benefits Pilates can bring to everyone, no matter how fit you are; but equally I want it to be fun and something you would look forward to. I am constantly evolving my skills in this area ensuring my training is up to date in all areas of this exciting technique, so I can better serve my wide variety of clients.
So not only have I ticked a lot of the more normal boxes you would expect such as the highest level of Personal Training (2004 – level 3) and then Pilates Instruction (2007 – Level 3) I have extended this to include Level 3 Exercise Referral and Level 4 in managing and prescribing exercise for lower back pain.
Reformer, Cadillac, Barre & all small equipment
I am qualified to teach on a range of large and small apparatus (most of which we have in the studio here) as well of course, mat classes and at the barre… with mirrors and not Chardonnay!
But Pilates is and must always be enjoyable too! I pride myself on keeping the sessions fun and interesting alongside being challenging and educational. Most of my clients stay with me for all of these reasons – some regulars have been with me for about 9 years. We work hard but we laugh in every single class and everyone keeps coming back!
I have run several retreats in Turkey and taught at a call centre in the Philippines and from 2017 I am delighted to be joining the fitness team at “Juice Master” Jason Vale’s juicing retreats in Turkey and Portugal where I will be popping over for a couple of weeks at a time.
Yes I am passionate about what I teach and I do take it very seriously and work hard. However I also have a life and am not a teetotal vegan… so you dont need to throw yourself across your trolley when you bump into me in Waitrose to hide your Prosecco…I can party pretty hard too!!
