Jonathan Grubb
Jonathan Grubb is a Pilates teacher and avid researcher of Pilates history.
Jonathan lives on the Isle of Man and first discovered the Pilates Method in 2013. Shortly after that he learned that his great-grandfather was interned on the Isle of Man at the same time, and in the same sub-Camp as Joseph Pilates.
Jonathan was so passionate about the Pilates Method that he went on to do teacher training with both Michael King and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute; he has also attended many conferences and workshops in the UK and further afield.
There are different rumours about areas of Joseph Pilates’ history, especially the time period when he was interned on the Isle of Man during WW1. In this episode, Jonathan will be sharing some of the lesser-known facts in the history of Pilates, realities versus rumours about Joseph’s time at the Knockaloe Internment Camp and also other areas of research into Joseph Pilates and his method.
This will be a fascinating interview with someone who has spent the last ten years researching not only the history of Joseph Pilates and those lesser-known individuals who first studied with him, but also how other fitness pioneers of the early 1900s are likely to have influenced Joe and his exercise method.
Jonathan’s Facebook Group Joseph’s Legacy – Pilates 100+ now has over 21 thousand appreciative followers worldwide. You can find out more about Jonathan’s Pilates classes at renewpilatesiom.com
Anyone who loves Pilates should be online for this one!

Yvonne Bishop-Weston
Yvonne is a clinical Nutritional Therapist with over 20 years of clinical practice in her Harley Street and Beaulieu Clinics, supporting people to effect lasting change through clinical consultations, cookery books, written press and TV appearances.
In my teatime chat Yvonne will discuss how our bodies adapt to stressors in our lives and how to nourish ourselves and make targeted diet and lifestyle choices to help stress be a positive, motivating and energising influence, rather than an overwhelming and depleting drain on our resources.
What, how, and when, we eat and drink can support this fine-tuning and help us get the most out of the opportunities living our lives to the full brings.
Yvonne is a member of BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle medicine) and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Dr Sam Anthony
Join us for a stroll through Dr Sam’s “Sun Safe Skin” advice, as she talks about the sun’s effects on the skin, how to check your moles, the skin lesions to look out for and to get checked out, and how to keep your skin safe in the sun.
Dr Sam Anthony is an NHS doctor in Hertfordshire, where she has worked as a surgeon in Dermatology for the past 20 years, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers. Having initially completed her surgical training in London, which included a six month job in plastic surgery, followed by General Practice training, she finally found her niche in Dermatology in 2005. She has lectured and taught skin surgical skills at the University of Hertfordshire, and continues to train junior doctors in skin surgery during her day job, where she is also Skin Cancer Lead. She runs the STAR skin service in Hertfordshire where she removes cosmetic skin lesions, and continues to have a passion for her work with her skin cancer patients on the NHS.
As a recent resident of Hampshire, and wife of the owner of The Arches Physiotherapy clinic in Lymington, which offers a range of services, clinics, classes, and treatments, she is hoping to bring some of her knowledge and experience to the local community too, eventually hoping to bring her Sun Safe Skin skin check clinics, and STAR skin surgery service, down south in the near future!

Dr. Victoria Manning (BM, DFFP, MBCAM) is a General Practitioner by background who has pioneered innovative approaches in aesthetic medicine for over two decades.
In her new book "The Inflammation Game," she dives deep into the revolutionary concept of "inflammaging" – where your body's inflammatory response has essentially gone rogue.
She explains how this chronic, low-grade inflammation silently accelerates the ageing process at the cellular level, causing everything from visible skin changes to internal deterioration.
