November challenge. Day 13
Day 13
The biggest reason I started the 30 Day November Wellness Challenge was to help us feel connected and stay motivated and positive. As we went into Lockdown Season 2 (which I didn't know about when I launched the challenge) following a really strange and diffcult year, going into shorter days with less daylight, I wanted to help us all feel that we are not alone both in the literal sense as well as in how we are feeling right now. I live alone and physical contact has been almost non existent for me and I know how much I get from seeing friends online and chatting and just knowing that people are "out there" for me.
When better to really appreciate that than today, Children in Need day? I. have felt quite emotional watching Joe Wicks this morning as he comes towards the end of his 24 hour challenge and what he has said over and over ( I have been red buttoning quite a bit!!) is how much it has helped him having people ring in, send videos etc to encourage him, send him virtual energy and believe in him.
So as we all face our own challenges, this little daily challenge from me is to remind us that we are not on our own, there is always someone out there who wants to encourage us and support us but also how we need to take time every day for us.
SO if I am not motivating you at the moment, get on the BBC red button and let Joe do it! Remember just what can be acheived if we stick together and show we care! A lovely quote I have heard this year is "We may be in different boats but we are all sailing the same sea". In true CIN honour, I hope to see some jazzy leggings in my classes please and I hope everyone will dig into the depths of their pockets and donate today for some amazing causes for so many who need so much.
Talking about support, please forgive me.... it is Day 13 NOT day 12 as I announce in the video.... I realised my mistake at the end and I just couldn't face re-doing it!
In other VERY exciting news, our wonderful prize giver Helen McGinn aka The Knackered Mother has her first novel coming out in February (available to pre-order now!) so please click below to read more!! Seriously exciting and huge congratulations Helen!! While on her site, you can also let her direct you to what to pop in your fridge and in the rack this weekend.
Today's challenge is to dance - in your kitchen - with the muic on full. You cannot dance and feel miserable. It is a wonderuful way to get rid of stress, feel happy and burn some calories!! Dancing is THE BEST way to feel happy and get fit. Hopefully your dancing is a lot better than mine but then who cares!!!! That is the point.
Have a lovely day and see you tomorrow x
